Levandoski – Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been serving Bloomfield area families for over 80 years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. We are the only continuously family operated Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Our History
Levandoski – Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service is a family owned and operated funeral, natural-green burial, cremation service provider. Our mission is to provide compassionate care at your time of loss with personable, individualized service and a guiding hand. We will honor your loved one and family with dignity, respect and personal attention to every detail. The owner and manager, Nicholas J. Grillo, together with Michael Z. Levandoski,have assisted thousands of families in honoring the lives of their loved ones.

From our beginning in 1939, Theodore Levandoski Sr. (1961) dedicated himself to providing comforting services in a time of need. His son, Theodore Levandoski Jr. (2009) continued on in his father’s footsteps, caring for families with the same quality of service. Today, although passed on to a new owner, third generation Michael Z. Levandoski, maintains this inherited tradition with every individual funeral service. He still remains an integral part of the Levandoski – Grillo Family. For more than 70 years, the Levandoski Family has served the Bloomfield Community, now partnered with the Grillo Family in continuing to provide excellence in funeral service.

The Grillo Family originates from Jersey City. As with any other large Italian American Family, their members have spread out to Lyndhurst, Bloomfield, Nutley and the Montclair region through the generations.
